1. Agreement and operator
These Terms of Use & End User License Agreement (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Noah Andrew Lee, the operator of YELF (“YELF,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They apply to your access to https://getyelf.com and your download, installation, or use of the YELF Windows desktop application. By using YELF, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use YELF.
2. What YELF does
YELF is a Windows desktop productivity application intended primarily to help freelance video editors and similar professionals discover, evaluate, organize, monitor, and export information about potential YouTube creator leads. YELF does not contact leads or send outreach messages on your behalf.
3. Free and Pro
YELF offers Free and Pro versions. Free currently includes up to 25 results for a single-query search, up to 25 saved leads, core YouTube lead discovery and channel analysis, no-AI workflow, local AI through Ollama, Basic/Quick filtering, CSV export, clipboard TSV/Google Sheets-oriented export, and built-in or custom themes with theme JSON import and export.
Pro currently includes up to 50 results for a single-query search, unlimited saved leads, multi-query searching (up to 10 unique queries per run), advanced filters and presets, automatic monitoring and scheduled lead refresh, and Custom Cloud AI through your own OpenAI API credentials, together with the otherwise applicable Free features. Result availability for multi-query runs is determined by the application's implemented behavior; these Terms do not promise a separate or unlimited multi-query result entitlement.
4. Pro price, perpetual license, and updates
The standard price for YELF Pro is $39.99 USD as a one-time purchase. We may offer occasional promotional pricing, including a planned launch promotion of $29.99. A Pro purchase grants a perpetual license to the YELF software under these Terms; it is not a recurring software subscription. Standard future YELF application updates are included with the perpetual Pro license.
We may introduce optional future services that create ongoing operating costs, such as YELF-hosted AI, cloud storage, or synchronization. If introduced, those optional services may be priced separately. Their introduction will not convert an existing perpetual Pro software license into a subscription.
5. License grant and activation
Subject to these Terms and payment of the applicable price, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use YELF Pro on up to two simultaneously activated devices. The two installations do not need to be operated exclusively by the purchaser. You may allow another person to use one activated installation, but doing so does not transfer, resell, or sublicense the license.
You may self-deactivate an accessible device. If an activated device becomes inaccessible because of hardware failure, theft, Windows reinstallation, replacement, or a similar event, contact [email protected]. After reasonable purchase and license verification, we can release the inaccessible activation. We may take reasonable measures to prevent abuse of this recovery process. A legitimate customer will not be required to repurchase YELF solely because an activated computer becomes inaccessible.
6. License restrictions
You may not publicly distribute a license key, resell a license key as a separate product, use a key to circumvent the two-device restriction, or otherwise bypass, interfere with, or defeat activation, licensing, or access controls. Except where applicable law gives you a right that cannot be waived, you may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, or create derivative works from YELF; remove proprietary notices; or use YELF unlawfully or in a way that materially harms YELF, its users, or third parties.
7. Your responsibilities and permitted use
You may use YELF for legitimate personal and commercial purposes. You are solely responsible for deciding whether, how, and when to contact a lead and for complying with applicable laws, platform rules, anti-spam requirements, privacy obligations, contracts, and professional standards. You must not use YELF to harass, deceive, impersonate, infringe rights, collect or use information unlawfully, or facilitate unlawful activity.
8. Third-party services and APIs
YELF can use third-party services and APIs, including YouTube, Ollama, OpenAI, Keygen, and Lemon Squeezy. Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms, policies, availability, and any charges. You must provide and maintain any credentials needed for the services you choose to use. We do not control third-party services and do not guarantee their availability, accuracy, or continued compatibility.
9. Optional AI and output
AI features are optional. With the default Ollama localhost configuration, prompts are sent to the service running on your device; a remote Ollama endpoint you configure receives the prompts you send to it. Pro Custom Cloud AI sends relevant channel information directly to OpenAI using your own API credentials after you accept YELF's disclosure. You are responsible for third-party AI charges and for reviewing outputs before relying on them.
AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, outdated, or unsuitable for your purpose. Do not treat it as professional, legal, financial, employment, marketing, or other expert advice. YELF does not guarantee leads, clients, income, views, subscribers, or the accuracy or usefulness of AI output, analyses, or data.
10. Payments, refunds, and revocation
Lemon Squeezy is the Merchant of Record for applicable YELF Pro purchases. Its applicable transaction, refund, and chargeback procedures also apply. Subject to mandatory consumer rights, refund requests are accepted within 14 calendar days of the original purchase. Contact [email protected] for support with a refund request. A refunded Pro license may be revoked or deactivated.
We may suspend or revoke a license only where reasonably necessary for a refund, fraud, chargeback, intentional licensing circumvention, unauthorized resale or public distribution, or material license abuse. We will not revoke a valid perpetual license merely to require a customer to repurchase YELF.
11. Intellectual property
YELF and its software, website, design, content, trademarks, and other materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant only the limited license expressly stated above; they do not transfer ownership to you.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, YELF is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, YELF and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunities, or business interruption arising from or related to YELF or these Terms. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims arising from or related to YELF or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid us for YELF in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where they are prohibited by law.
14. Privacy
Our handling of information is described in the YELF Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to YELF, our practices, or applicable law. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised Last updated date. If a change materially affects your rights, we may provide additional notice through the website, application, or another reasonable method. Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms means you accept them, to the extent permitted by law.
16. Governing law, consumer rights, and disputes
Michigan law, United States, governs these Terms and any dispute arising from them, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This choice does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections provided by the law of the jurisdiction where you live or another law that applies and cannot be waived. Where permitted by applicable law, courts located in Michigan will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes.
17. Severability and entire agreement
If any part of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect, and the unenforceable provision will be enforced to the greatest extent permitted by law. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about YELF, except for any additional written terms expressly applicable to a particular service or purchase.
